The purpose of this internship program was to provide students with career-relevant opportunities in order to acquire professional skills and develop employment networks, while enhancing their self-confidence and overall well-being.
This was supported through a customized internship plan tailored to fit each intern’s interests, personal skills, and career goals.
Each intern was matched with an appropriate Experience Site that would further facilitate student-learning opportunities outside the classroom.
They were required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of leadership and professional development in four (4) core areas:
Career Exploration (20 hours)
Event Coordination (20 hours)
Community Service (20 hours)
Professional Development with an Experience Site (40 hours)
